Frequently Asked Questions

1. What services does Colorado TRT offer?

Colorado TRT specializes in hormone optimization (including hormone replacement therapy), tissue regeneration therapies, muscle and strength support, sexual health optimization, hair restoration, and comprehensive wellness plans. Our goal is to improve healthspan, increase lean muscle and strength, and help you stay active in Colorado’s lifestyle.

2. Who is a good candidate for hormone replacement therapy (HRT)?

Ideal candidates are adults (typically 30–65+) experiencing symptoms of hormone imbalance such as fatigue, poor sleep, low energy, reduced muscle mass, low libido, mood changes, poor physical recovery, or difficulty maintaining an active lifestyle. We treat both men and women. A comprehensive lab evaluation determines whether hormone therapy is appropriate for you.

3. What does the process look like to get started?

It begins with a free consultation. During your initial visit, a medical provider (physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant) reviews your medical history, discusses symptoms and goals, performs a focused exam when indicated, and orders lab work if appropriate. Based on results, we create a personalized treatment plan.

4. How are hormone therapies delivered?

We offer multiple delivery options based on clinical needs, lifestyle, and patient preference, including:

  • Injections for precise dosing and reliable absorption

  • Transdermal creams (bioidentical) for steady daily hormone delivery

  • Testosterone pellets for long-acting, consistent hormone levels

For pellet therapy, we exclusively use brand-name EvexiPEL® testosterone pellets, known for pharmaceutical-grade manufacturing, consistent dosing, and quality control. Pellet therapy is ideal for patients seeking stable hormone levels with fewer dosing decisions and long intervals between treatments.

All therapies are medically supervised, regularly monitored, and adjusted as needed to ensure safety and effectiveness.

5. Is the initial consultation really free?

Yes. The consultation itself is no cost and no obligation. If you choose to proceed with lab testing, laboratory fees apply and are discussed in advance.

6. Do you accept insurance?

No. Colorado TRT is a cash-based medical practice and does not accept insurance. This allows us to spend more time with patients, offer individualized care, and avoid insurance-driven limitations on treatment options. At Colorado TRT there are no surprise costs.  WE will always be up front and transparent with our costs, we are not here to “nickel and dime” you.  Lab costs and medications are included in the monthly fee.  Therapy costs may be eligible for reimbursement through HSA or FSA accounts.  By not accepting insurance our providers are free to work directly with you to optimize care before you are “clinically broken”.  We have both worked in hospitals for the majority of our careers and have seen the limitations insurance puts on treatments,

7. Do you treat both men and women?

Yes. While testosterone therapy is commonly associated with men, we provide hormone optimization for women as well, including support for peri-menopause, menopause, PCOS, low energy, body composition, and overall vitality. All treatment plans are individualized.

8. How is treatment monitored and adjusted?

Patients are followed closely with scheduled visits, symptom tracking, and periodic lab testing. Dosages and therapies are adjusted based on both objective data and how you feel, with safety as the top priority.

9. What payment options are available?

We offer transparent pricing discussed during your consultation. Financing options, including monthly payments through Cherry, are available for certain treatments.

10. Can I transfer care from another clinic?

Yes. Patients transferring care from another clinic are welcome. You may bring recent lab results and treatment records, or we can obtain updated labs in our clinic to ensure continuity of care and appropriate dosing adjustments.

11. Is hormone therapy safe long-term?

When appropriately prescribed and monitored, hormone therapy is considered safe for long-term use in properly selected patients. Safety depends on individualized dosing, regular follow-up, symptom assessment, and periodic lab monitoring. At Colorado TRT, we prioritize evidence-based protocols, appropriate dosing, and ongoing evaluation to minimize risk and maximize benefit.
